There’s been some confusion surrounding the direction and topics found on the Peak Performance Blog as we’ve begun 2008.
This was our first full week of posts in the New Year and I thought I would quickly set the record straight on our goals and plans for our Web 2.0 community in 2008.
First and foremost, Peak Performance is a Third-Party Recruiting Blog. As this blog name suggests, our goal is to deliver peak performers in Sales while demonstrating peak performance in Recruiting.
Ideally, we want this space to speak to both the client and the candidate as well as our fellow Recruiters.
Here’s a glimpse of how we’ll try to attack each week…
MONDAY: CANDIDATE FOCUSED
- It’s the beginning of another work week at a “dead end” job so we’ll provide you with the latest Career Opportunities from Paramount Recruiting Partners, LLC
- We’ll also try to use this day to offer “Job Search Tips” and the “Do’s & Don’ts”
- Posts may also include any news from over the weekend that we find interesting
- Posts will be short and sweet because it’s the beginning of another busy week
TUESDAY: CLIENT-RECRUITER / INDUSTRY FOCUSED
- Tips for Recruiters (i.e. Tools; Techniques; Resources; etc.)
- Tips for Clients (i.e. College Recruiting; Retention; Interview Tips; Hiring Mistakes; etc.)
- Industry Pet Peeves
- Paramount Recruiting Partners, LLC Anecdotes
- Poll of the Day / Join the Discussion will be encouraged
WEDNESDAY: CANDIDATE FOCUSED
- Self-Assessment / Self-Improvement Discussions
- “Joke of the Day” for “Hump Day Humor” series
THURSDAY: CLIENT-RECRUITER / INDUSTRY FOCUSED
- We’ll cover things that we couldn’t get to on Tuesday
- Most likely, Process Improvement discussions
FRIDAY: CANDIDATE FOCUSED
- It’s “TGIF” so we’ll keep things light
- We’ll highlight current Career Opportunities in case the week was tough on you for the last time
- We’ll tell you what to look forward to over the weekend
- We’ll also include any relevant Book Reviews (chapter-by-chapter analysis)
All in all, we hope to continue to give you what you want. If you have any suggestions please feel free to contact me directly at jradt@prpcareers.com to share you ideas.
Lastly, watch for some exciting news in the next few weeks about how PRP plans to increase our presence online and especially in the social networking arenas!
Thank you for your continued support by regularly visiting this site.

I guess it’s inevitable that once you begin blogging the very first thought you have is whether or not you’ll have the time to devote to the development of your new creation. Let’s face it, Recruiters and Sales Professionals are already pressed for time on a daily basis.
Most people agree that time is a precious commodity. It’s essential for developing skills, deepening relationships and gaining experience. And no amount of money, possessions or prestige can equal its value.
Think about it. You can’t earn time or give it away. You can’t shorten it for painful occasions or extend it for happy ones. And only God Almighty can add to or subtract from your days on earth.
What are you doing with this priceless commodity? Are you recognizing and acting upon every opportunity?
Make the most of your time. Treat it like the valuable gift that it is. Too often, we spend our hours on activities which are fruitless. Focus and try to identify any wasted effort in your life whether it’s professional or personal.
Make your time count.

I love my job. I hope that anyone reading this loves theirs too. So what is it that separates the Peak Performers from those who are simply serviceable? A servant’s attitude.
We all want to get the most out of our work, but sometimes our situation or attitude can make that difficult. Regardless of our circumstances, we need to remind ourselves that we were given a job to do and that others are counting on us to fulfill our obligations.
Believe or not, we’re equipped and energized for any task that comes our way. Whether or not we choose to recognize that fact and tap into that power is up to us.
In Recruiting and Sales it’s often said that communication and follow-through are virtues. In addition, many will argue that your success is directly related to how high you rate in these two key areas. Then why do so many clients and candidates alike share with me their frustrations over the lack of communication from Recruiters? Sadly, I’m sure I’m not the only Recruiter who could say the same thing about some of our clients and candidates. I suggest that when it comes to Recruiting and Sales your rating in these two areas will ultimately determine whether you’re good at your job or great at it (or, in other words, a Peak Performer).
A funny thing happens when you add passion to the mix. One almost becomes obssessed with the idea of being the best they can be in their particular line of work that they do anything and everything within their power to guarantee positive interactions at all levels. Specifically, they will do EVERYTHING they can to serve their business partners.
Having trouble being a true servant? Here’s a formula you can put into practice starting right now: Be who you say you are. Do what you say you’re going to do. Most importantly, love every minute of what you do!

Welcome to Paramount Recruiting Partners, LLC’s Corporate Blog titled Peak Performance. This name aptly describes our recruiting philosophy: Deliver peak performers in sales while demonstrating peak performance in recruiting. It doesn’t hurt that it ties in nicely with our name either. My name is Jeffrey K. Radt (pronounced rot) and I am one of the Partners of my firm. We decided we’re going to start writing this blog in August of 2007 to share thoughts and ideas we have as Sales Recruiters. In addition, we view this as another vehicle allowing us to help our colleagues find their next jobs and to help organizations find their next employees. Thank you for reading and be sure to come back on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 to help us celebrate a new phase of development.
